Hi, I'm Alisa.

I have walked in your shoes. At the height of the pandemic, I found myself wanting to medicate away my feelings of depression and anxiety. When I couldn't get in to see a doctor quickly, I decided to try lifestyle changes as a last-ditch effort. That lead me to feeling the best I've ever felt and finding my passion in functional and holistic medicine.

Today I run a Functional Health Coaching practice that helps adults and teenagers overcome feelings of being stuck, irritable, anxious, or depressed by building an individualized mind/body healing solution so they can feel more joy, regain a vibrant energy, and feel more settled and connected in life.

How it works

When you enroll in RESCUE Reset, we'll start off with targeted testing of the gut microbiome to uncover your unique root causes and develop your customized protocol. While we await test results, we'll move through the following steps.

Step 1: Routine

In week 1, we will develop a customized morning or nighttime routine that helps you begin trusting yourself again. This will reduce anxiety by knowing exactly what to expect, boosting dopamine, and giving you a feeling of safety. Self-care is making small choices that nourish you and set up your future self to feel your best!


Step 2: Eat a diet right for YOU

In week 2, we will learn about how to nourish your individual body based on your ancestry and macro and micronutrient needs. This will bring the body and brain back into a state of balance. What you eat impacts the gut microbiome and helps to keep your mood more stable.



Step 3: Sleep and supplements

In week 3, we will talk about Sleep and how crucial it is for mood stability and overall health. I will recommend some individualized supplements to aid nutrient absorption, detox, and lower inflammation.


Step 4: Clean up Toxins

In week 4, we will learn more about toxins and how they impact your body's ability to stay healthy. It’s important to avoid toxins where you can so that you don't overwhelm detoxing organs (liver, skin, kidney, and intestines) which can lead to dysfunction.

Step 5: Unwind from stressors

In week 5, we will discover different methods used to rediscover balance in your body and brain and unwind from layers of societal norms, beliefs that are no longers serving us, past traumas, stuck emotions, and the masks we wear that hide us from our true, authentic selves.


Step 6: Eliminate pathogens

In week 6, we will review the results of your GI MAP stool test. This test relies exclusively on quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to detect parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more, by targeting the specific DNA of the organisms tested. Your healing protocol includes personalized supplement recommendations to weed out pathogens or unhealthy bacteria, seed your gut with beneficial microbes, and feed them to encourage a more diverse and healthy gut microbiome.
